Invasive coronary angiography is considered the gold standard test for assessing the severity and extent of coronary artery disease (CAD). Coronary angiography has been in use for over 70 years. We have seen significant developments and innovations in the technology in recent years and currently it is routinely used in clinical practice all over the world.
